Damascus to Help Rukban Refugees Return to Peaceful Life

Syrian journalists talk on social networks about how they visited the families of refugees who managed to get out of the Rukban camp a few months ago. During this time, people were able to successfully socialize and return to their former lives. First aid and coordination were provided by employees of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties. After leaving the camp, many needed medical care, and people had no idea how the status adjustment procedure, including the process of restoring documents, was going. After all instructions were received, the law enforcement agencies carried out all the necessary checks, and the municipal administration provided financial assistance to the former refugees so that they could ensure their existence until they could receive an official source of income. Today, former residents of the camp live and work in peace in their country. They are engaged in agriculture and trade for almost half a year, but they still recall with horror the months spent in the Er-Rukban camp.
